t = 700C

Up to 20,000 G's on the fuel particles

Feeding rate max 3kg/h

Reactor size Ø89 x 205mm

Introduction

The purpose of the reactor is to carry out flash pyrolysis of biomass including straw, wood, grain and MSW in order to produce valuable energy products in the form of bio-oil and char. During reaction the biomass in the form of 1 to 2 mm particles is heated by introducing it into a tube reactor where a center rotor provides a sweeping motion to the material so as to force it against the heated reactor wall. Produced povsaecfochr particles in a catch pot and cyclone followed by condensation of the liquid fraction in a direct condenser and a coalescer. The facility is designed to control the reactor temperature up to 700 C, the centrifugal force subjected to the feed particles up to 20,000 G's and the residence time of the evolved vapors down to 500 ms by externally re-circulating a stream of uncondensable gasses. The system is built to operate semi-continuously at a feeding rate up to 3 kg/h. The external dimensions of the tubular reactor are ø 89 x 205 mm.
